Yesterday Johnson Johnson & Schaller filed a federal lawsuit against Washington County arising from the brutal rape and assault of our client, Heather Meeler. She was attacked after a U of O football game by a Jaime Tinoco, who Washington County had brought to Eugene as part of a program for troubled teens.
Washington County should never have brought him on the trip, but even more amazing, once here he disappeared from their custody and they did not even know he was missing until they stopped the bus for a meal on the way home. The story has garnered a lot of media attention – even more after the perpetrator confessed to a murder after he was arrested for the crimes he committed against our client.
